Jacob Powell

Jacob Powell is a Research Fellow with the Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. Jacob received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York and is currently pursuing a PhD in economics at the University of Missouri—Kansas City (UMKC). In addition, he is pursuing a co-discipline in the Social Science Consortium with a particular focus on social theory and methodology. His current research has been focused on developing alternative indicators regarding the status of labor markets and understanding the evolution of labor processes in the United States into and through the Neoliberal era. His interest include heterodox microeconomics, labor economics, social theory and political economy.
