Surya Darma Hamonangan

Surya Darma Hamonangan is a Research Fellow at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. Surya is a founder of Movement 272, which advocates for the policy of “Job Guarantee and Basic Income” (JAMPPI) in accordance with the Indonesian Constitution Article 27 Clause 2. He is an author and source for Modern Monetary Theory and Job Guarantee in Indonesian media. He has translated with his wife, Afrilya, the trailblazing Macroeconomics textbook by Mitchell, Wray, and Watts (2019) into Indonesian. Surya holds an Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore, a teaching diploma from North Sumatra Islamic University, and a Masters in Educational Management from the North Sumatra State Institute for Islamic Studies (Indonesia).
